Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Athabasca, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Work of this Contract comprises of a parking lot upgrade/expansion at the Government of Canada Building in Athabasca, Alberta. The project involves providing two points of egress and expanding the existing parking lot to include additional parking spaces. The work involved includes paving/repaving, demolishing existing landscaping in the area of the new expansion, adding new concrete curbs and sidewalk. The existing rear parking lot is approximately 646 square meters. The existing visitor parking lot is approximately 200 square meters. The new expansion area is approximately 515 square meters and will include an additional 16 parking stalls. Two (2) new parking stalls will be added adjacent to 48th Avenue. The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by 31 December 2021. This is a first phase (Phase one) of a two-phase competition: the first phase will pre-qualify bidders based on mandatory requirements as per the attached Request for Qualifications; second phase (Phase two) will invite the qualified bidders to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. The list of pre-qualified bidders resulting from Phase One will be valid for a period of 120 days upon notification of meeting the mandatory requirements or upon award of contract in Phase Two whichever comes first. No further Request for Qualifications will be published for this solicitation.
