In general, the Project includes replacement of existing metal roof panels on Building 15 with new metal roof panels and addition of fall protection system. The project is located at City of Eugene Public Works, 1820 Roosevelt Boulevard, Eugene, OR 97402. Bids shall be valid for 30 days after opening unless otherwise specified in the bid specifications. This Invitation to Bid (ITB 2021-1003) does not commit the City to pay any costs incurred by any bidder in the submission of a bid. Due to the current public health emergency and in accordance with City of Eugene Administrative Order 44-14-08F and Public Contracting Rules (City Rule) 137-047-0255, vendors must email bids to eugene.facilities@eugene-or.gov prior to the due date and time indicated in the ITB or any extension thereof made by addendum. The subject line of the email must read: ITB 2021-1003 Public Works Maintenance Building 15 Roofing - March 11, 2021. Bidders shall submit a Bid Security for ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount, plus any additive alternates, by one of the following methods: Attach a scanned version of a paper bid bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Savings and Loan Secured Check, or irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a financial institution; the validity of which will be verified after the bid opening. Alternatively, use an electronic bid bond service to submit a link which includes verification of the bid bond. In accordance with ORS 279A.120, Bidders will be required to indicate on the Bid Form whether the Bidder is an Oregon resident. The City will not consider Bids unless the Bidder (Contractor) is registered with the Construction Contractors Board as required by ORS 701. Asbestos work is not anticipated. If asbestos conditions are discovered by Contractor, Contractor shall immediately notify City. The City of Eugene may hold Bids for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from date bids are due for the purpose of reviewing bid documents and investigating qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding Contract. The City of Eugene reserves the right to reject any Bid for good cause upon finding that it is in the best interest of the City to do so.
