Renovation of a medical facility in Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

This Invitation to Tender is being issued by the Health Organization for the Vancouver General Hospital Food Service Redesign - Jim Pattison Pavilion Leon Judah Blackmore Pavilion & Laundry Building. The objective of the project is the creation of a seamless system of food delivery to patient populations within acute services, inpatient psychiatric services and residential care programs across the Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) campus. Food will be prepared, packaged and flash chilled at the existing St. Paul's Hospital (SPH) Food Production Centre and delivered to a new Food Depot located on the basement level of Jim Pattison Pavilion South. From there it will be distributed to decentralized Food Serveries throughout the campus, reheated and delivered to patients. To enable this new Cook-Chill Decentralized Foodservice System, renovations and equipment upgrades will be completed throughout VGH and within the SPH Food Production Centre. Spaces within inpatient units throughout the facilities will be renovated to create Food Serveries and Warewashing Galleys. The scope includes: Renovations within reclaimed space at the Basement Level of Jim Pattison Pavilion (JP) at VGH to create a Food Depot serving JP, Leon Blackmore Pavilion (LBP), Willow Pavilion (WP) and the Joseph & Rosalie Segal Family Centre; Renovation within inpatient units to create Food Serveries and Warewashing Galleys: Upgrades required to bring the spaces up to infection control and safety standards; New mechanical and electrical systems including new lighting, mechanical diffusers and upgraded HVAC; Creation of prep areas for portioning food, food services admin touchdown spaces and wash areas; Installation of new food equipment.
