Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Hodges, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,250-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; sidewalk / parking lot; pre-engineered storage facility; and office development.

The volunteer fire station at 225 Miller Road shall be a pre-engineered steel building, 25'x50' (1250 SF) with an approx. 10'x10' restroom facility with shower, an office space, five parking spaces, and an 8" thick, 4000 psi, DOT permitted, concrete driveway with enough room for firetrucks to turn around and back into the building. The building will need to have one 14'x12' overhead door to the single bay for the firetruck and one additional personnel entrance door with awning located at the front of the building. See the attached sketch for a general concept. The project shall address the particular laws governing the development of volunteer fire stations in South Carolina, including but not limited to, building codes, Greenwood County zoning ordinances and codes relative to DHEC and SCDOT standards.
