Saving Project...

Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Burnaby, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 124,466-square-foot, four-story above grade, 190-unit multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.

Develop and operate non-market modular rental housing, townhouse and/or apartment from up to four storeys, on up to three (3) City-owned sites. If successful in securing funding, the three Sites would help deliver approximately 190 new non-market housing units in partnership with other levels of government. The three sites are as follows: 8303 10th Avenue, 56 Potential Housing Units, 32,938 sq.ft 7355 Canada Way, 76 Potential Housing Units, 57,234 sq.ft. TIMELINE: Request for proposal from qualified proponents to develop and operate non-market modular rental housing on up to three (3) City-owned cites is cancelled. Construction completed fall of 2022 for the project at 8305 11th Ave. and $11 million in federal funding. If/when project may proceed is undetermined at this time. Further update summer 2023, upon approvals.
