Accordingly, City and Contractor agree that the sum of $500.00 per calendar day is a reasonable sum to assess as Liquidated Damages to City by reason of the failure of Contractor to complete the Work within the time specified. The City of Lynwood shall award the Contract to the lowest responsible Bidder submitting a responsive Bid. Whenever additive or deductive items are included in a bid, the lowest bid shall be the lowest Total Bid Price on the Base Bid without consideration of the bid prices on any additive or deductive items. The City of Lynwood reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process to the extent permitted by law.
