The project will consist of Rehabilitation of Water Wells including a New Well House Building and appurtenances. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5 % of Bidder's maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified check or a Bid bond (EJCDC No. C-430, 2007 Edition) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of paragraphs 5.01 and 5.02 of the General Conditions. The Work will be substantially completed within 120 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 2.03 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 14.07 of the General Conditions within 150 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. After Substantial Completion, if Contractor shall neglect, refuse, or fail to complete the remaining Work within the Contract Time or any proper extension thereof granted by Owner, Contractor shall pay Owner $500.00 for each day that expires after the time specified in Paragraph 4.02 above for completion and readiness for final payment until the Work is completed and ready for final payment. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Potential Bidders, The Town of Kenefic has a project out to re-bid for rehabilitation of two wells, new well house, and piping modifications at their standpipe. This is a project that bid previously and came in over budget. Changes have been to reduce project to budget (or closer to budget.) The City has also secured some additional funding.
