SOUTH WESTSIDE AREA SWA-2J - PHASE I 13-1/2 STREET & 14TH STREET, WASHINGTON AVE TO DEAN AVE SWA-2I - PHASE II DEAN AVENUE - 13TH STREET TO 14TH STREET Project consists of the removal of existing pavement, curb, drives, trees and sidewalk and the construction of new pavement, curb and gutter, driveways, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, tree planting, signage, pavement markings, and seeding along 13-1/2 Street and 14 th Street from Washington Avenue to Dean Avenue and Dean Avenue from 13 th Street to 14 th Street. The project shall be constructed in two separate phases as detailed in the plans. SWA-2J, Phase I (13- 1/2 and 14 th Street, Washington Avenue to Dean Avenue) shall be constructed first. The contractor shall complete ALL work associated with the construction of Phase I as shown in the plans with the exception of the final surface course. Once the HMA Base course pavement has been placed, the project has been seeded, and the work approved by the owner's representative, the project shall be temporarily opened up to traffic and the contractor can then proceed with the construction of SWA-2I, Phase II (Dean Avenue, 13 th Street to 14 th Street). Once all work associated with the construction of Phase II has been completed and the HMA Base pavement has been placed, the contractor shall then place the HMA Surface over the entire Phase I and Phase II project area.
