The Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge (BREC) will receive electronic or paper bids for the construction of the following project: SB 1809 CENTRAL SPORTS PARK: SYNTHETIC TURF INFIELDS & SHADE STRUCTURES 10501 LOVETT ROAD CENTRAL, LA 70818 Site improvements for existing Central Sports Park shall include two main components: 1. The first component includes retrofitting three baseball fields with artificial turf for the infield area of each respective field. This includes demolition, removal, working around/relocating existing irrigation, grading, drainage, sitework, supplying and installing artificial turf and base course, and other miscellaneous site construction as detailed in the construction drawings & specifications. 2. The second component (Add Alternates 1 & 2) includes installing shade structures over the existing baseball field bleachers as detailed in the construction drawings & specifications. The work includes site work, lime stabilization, grading, drainage system, subgrade preparation, synthetic turf installation and sodding. Bids shall be firm for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date of the opening of bids and no bid shall be withdrawn for any reason during this period of time except as allowed per LSA-R.S.38:2214.C. Paper bid forms must be submitted in a sealed, opaque envelope and endorsed SB 1809 CENTRAL SPORTS PARK: SYNTHETIC TURF INFIELDS & SHADE STRUCTURES for the Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge along with Contractor's license number as required by LSA-R.S. 37:2151-2165. Bids with no license number will be rejected. One (1) copy of the bid form shall be submitted. Bid form blanks must be duly filled in by the Bidder. Bidders are cautioned not to attach any conditions or provisions to their proposals. Any foreign conditions will render the proposal invalid and may cause its rejection. A Certified Check or Cashier's Check, payable to the Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge or a satisfactory Bid Bond, in compliance with LSA-R.S. 38:2218.A&C, executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid, shall be submitted with each paper bid.
