Site work and paving for a religious / funeral development in Dublin, California. Completed plans call for site work for a religious / funeral development.

This project includes demolition and provides for the construction of an arbor, picnic area, concrete paving, interlocking pavers, asphalt paving, site furnishings, electrical, lighting, irrigation and planting as shown in the Specifications, Plans, and other Contract Documents entitled as shown above, now on file in the office of the City Engineer. Pursuant to California Public Contract Code Section 3300, all bidders must possess a valid class A California contractor license. Firms bidding as a joint venture must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this contract. Failure to possess the specified license(s) at the time of bidding shall render the bid non-responsive. The City of Dublin reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any defects or irregularity in bidding pursuant to applicable law. Pursuant to California Public Contract Code Section 20103.8, if the City elects to award a contract for performance of the project, the contract will be awarded pursuant to California Public Contract Code Section 20162 and other applicable law to the responsible bidder submitting a responsive bid with the lowest total bid price for the base bid without consideration of the bid price for any additive or deductive items. All bids will remain valid for ninety (90) days after the bid opening. Except as permitted by law and subject to all applicable remedies, including forfeiture of bidders security, bidders may not withdraw their bid during the ninety (90) day period after the bid opening. Questions concerning the project or the bid package must be submitted by facsimile (925) 829-9248, ATTN: Rosemary Alex or by email at rosemary.alex@dublin.ca.gov, at least ten (10) calendar days before the time specified for bid opening. Where appropriate, the City may respond to such questions by addenda transmitted to all plan holders. The Project is to be completed, including Certificate of Occupancy, within a total maximum of One hundred and Twenty 120 Calendar Days after the date specified in the Citys Notice to Proceed. The City will assess liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000.00 for each and every calendar day of delay in finishing the work in excess of the contract time. The Citys estimated total construction cost for this Project is between $900,000 and $975,000. The estimate is intended to serve merely as a guideline of the magnitude of work. Neither the bidders nor the contractor shall be entitled to claims because of any inaccuracy in the estimated cost range.
