No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by Cashier's Check, Certified Check or Bid Bond from a surety authorized to do business in California for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, including additive Alternate Bids, made payable to the District. The governing board of the District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any irregularity in any proposals received. At the request and expense of the successful Bidder, eligible securities shall be accepted in lieu of retention payments to insure performance under the Contract, pursuant to California Public Contract Code Section 22300.
