The bidder shall include a fully executed original bid bond with its submittal. The bid bond shall be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in New York State. The bond shall be in the amount of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00). A certified check, cashiers check, or a bank issued Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit may be submitted in lieu of a bid bond. Interested parties assume all responsibility to acquire bid information and forms. The County and the awardee recognize and agree that time is of the essence in this matter and that the County will suffer financial loss if the contracted work is not completed in the specified time. Additionally, both parties recognize the delays, expense and difficulties involved in proving in a legal or arbitration proceeding the actual loss suffered by the County if the work is not completed on time.
