Bidders are required to comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, No. 442, where the project cost is twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) or above. Only the Successful Bidder for a contract will be responsible for payment of a fee to PennBid and for bearing the cost thereof. The amount of the fee due to PennBid is either 1/3% (0.0033) of the initial contract award amount for fixed fee contracts or 1/6% (0.00166) of the expected contract value for term contracts and will be invoiced by PennBid to the successful bidder upon award of a contract by the Local Contracting Unit. The minimum fee is set at $100.00 and the maximum fee is capped at $5,000.00. Lower Makefield Township is seeking quotes to replace the existing wood doors at the Community Center with aluminum and glass commercial grade doors with an ADA compliant entry system. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to: removal of existing wood and glass doors and turning them over to the Township for salvage, installation of new aluminum and glass commercial grade doors, installation of new ADA push buttons for automatic door opening; installation of all door hardware as described on the attached door hardware schedule; and all necessary electrical work to ensure the doors operate as desired. The basis of design for the doors and hardware is attached. All doors and hardware shall be provided in accordance with the attached basis of design or approved equal. Selected bidder will be required to provide submittals and shop drawings to the Township Engineer for approval prior to the start of construction for all doors, door hardware, and security entrance system supplied. The project is located at the Lower Makefield Township Community Center, at 1550 Oxford Valley Road, Yardley, PA 19067, in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
