This Request for Supplier Qualifications ("RFSQ") is an invitation by the City of Toronto ("the City") to prospective Respondents to qualify up to eight (8) experienced General Contractors with a documented history of providing quality construction services to be eligible to bid on the upcoming Scarborough Gardens Arena State-of-Good Repair project by the City of Toronto's Parks Forestry & Recreation Division. The facility will include: - New curved structural glulam bow truss roof system in place of existing - New base building structural columns, footings - New exterior building envelope surrounding the arena component. - Improvements to the existing building envelope of the remainder of the existing building. - Combination of new insulated metal panels and masonry architectural block for exterior cladding - New arena ice pad - New ice plant and refrigeration system - Reconfiguration of existing audience seating, provision of new stair and accessible barrier-free access to viewing levels - Reconfiguration of the interior floor plan to accommodate a new interior layout to meet current Toronto Accessibility Guidelines and current Ontario Building Code requirements. - New interior millwork and finishes throughout - New building entrance glazed storefront and glazed vestibule - Reincorporation of existing wood roof trusses as visual design feature in new public areas - New low-e ceiling in arena area - Exterior accessible upgrades at building entrance - New insulated overhead doors to Zamboni areas - Heating system upgrades - New exterior lighting upgrades - New life safety upgrades - New signage and wayfinding - Net Zero Energy and Emissions Building (NZEEB) targets for any new construction components, where possible Documents are available at: http://discovery.ariba.com/rfx/12420649 Owner does not track plan takers and/or interested bidders.
