The Contractor shall construct the new Cell 2A, (approximately 27.9 acres) of a Subtitle D landfill sector at the Cefe F. Valenzuela Landfill. The City of Corpus Christi ("City" or "Owner") hereby issues this request for bids ("RFB"). The City is seeking bids from firms interested and qualified in the construction of a new sector at the Cefe F. Valenzuela Landfill, Corpus Christi, Nueces County Texas. The Contractor will include subgrade preparation, excavation, compacted fill, dewatering system installation, composite liner installation, leachate collection system installation, berm construction, dewatering evaporation pond, protective cover, installation of concrete box culverts, installation of reinforced concrete pipe, drainage improvements, pond expansion and construction, landfill fence, storm water pollution prevention plan, and associated electrical services. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted in response to this RFB ,waive any material defect, irregularity or informality in any bid or bidding procedure. The work is to be substantially completed within 240 days. Location- The work shall be performed at the Cefe F. Valenzuela Landfill at the intersection of Farm to Market 2444 and County Road 20, Nueces County, Texas as described in the attached specifications. Regular working hours are between sun-up and sun -down unless other times are specifically authorized in writing by City.
