Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sioux City, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The project is located on Perry Lane from Stone Park Boulevard to Dearborn Boulevard and includes the complete reconstruction/replacement of City utilities including sanitary sewer mains and manhole structures, storm sewer mains and intake structures, water mains, valves and hydrants, and complete removal and replacement of street pavement and sidewalks. There is an asphalt bid alternate for the street paving. The Notice of Public Hearing will be published in the Sioux City Journal on March 9, 2024 and March 16, 2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the bidding documents shall be submitted to the Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda, via the contact information provided on the plan holder's list. Questions received less than seven (7) days prior to the date for opening bids may not be answered. Only answers issued by Each bid must be made on a form furnished by the City and must be accompanied by a bid bond, a cashier's check or certified check of an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City Treasurer of the City of Sioux City, Iowa. The check or draft may be cashed by the City Treasurer as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract within the ten (10) days after notice of award and post bond satisfactory to the City ensuring the faithful fulfillment of the contract. This project has a late start date of June 3, 2024. Work shall be completed within 111 Working Days. Work requiring lane closure along Stone Park Boulevard and road closure of Dearborn Boulevard shall be completed within 14 calendar days each. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. However, the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, re-advertise for new bids and to waive informalities that may be in the best interest of the City. By virtue of statutory authority, a preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the state of Iowa and to Iowa domestic labor.
