**As of April 29, 2021, the award amount is $906,690.60. The anticipated construction start date and completion date are not yet determined at this time. The project includes removing the existing superstructure and substructure and replacing with an 85' multi-girder simple span bridge on a similar vertical and horizontal alignment. The conventional substructures will be cast-in-place concrete founded on bedrock Medium stone fill will be installed as slope protection. Approximately 350' of full depth approach reconstruction will be completed on Ridge Road and an additional 85' along Large Road. New bridge and approach guide railing will be installed within the project limits. Traffic will be maintained on an off-site detour during construction. Bids will be received for the following Contract: Contract No.1 - Replacement of Ridge Road over Yawger Creek Bridge (BIN 3311560); PIN 3756.58; D036178 Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percentum (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Town prior to incorporation into the work of the Contract.
