Project consists of the construction of 8,641 LF of 3"SDR 13.5 HDPE sewer force main; plug valves, combination air release valves; wet well; valve vault; concrete encasement; highway crossing bore; project shall also include construction of grinder pumps with owner supplied equipment package; all necessary thrust blocks, fittings, tees, and appurtenances; erosion control and riprap lined channel. An additional amount of $50.00 will be charged for mailing of bidding documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities, and to determine the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder, and to award the contract on that basis. Bid Envelope must state "Salem Hwy. J-72 Sewer Extension". Each bidder must submit a bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of their total bid. The prevailing hourly rate of wages, as determined by the Industrial Commission of Missouri, will be complied with on this project, and not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages as found by the agencies or Court of Appeals shall be paid to all workmen performing work under this contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Contractor shall begin assembly of materials and equipment within ten (10) days after receipt from the Owner of executed copies of the contract, The Work shall be substantially complete within 180 consecutive calendar days after the commencement date of the Contract. The Work shall be completed and ready for final payment in conformance with Article 14 of the General Conditions within 210 days after the commencement date of the Contract.
