Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Taghkanic, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The proposed project is located in the Towns of Taghkanic and Gallatin, Columbia County. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Replacement of the West Taghkanic Bridge No. 96 - BIN 3342300, County Route 10 over Taghkanic Creek, Town of Taghkanic and Woodward Bridge No. 127 - BIN 3342440, County Route 7 over Tributary to Roeliff Jansen Kill, Town of Gallatin All questions on the bid documents shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer. The period for questions pertaining to the bid documents will close at 4:00 pm on Thursday, March 18, 2021. Bid proposals may be hand delivered to the Columbia County Department of Public Works located at 178 Route 23B, Hudson, New York, 12534 until 11:00 am local time on the day of the bid opening. Bid proposals may also be "overnight" or otherwise shipped to the above address. Bids received after deadline of the bid opening will not be opened and will be returned to the bidder. Such bids will not be considered. This is a Unit Price bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the base bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds, insurance, and execute the Contract in the full amount of the contract price. The Work will be substantially completed on or before November 30, 2021 and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with section 14.07 of the General Conditions on or before December 15, 2021. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or Conditional Bids. A pre-bid meeting will not be held.
