This Project consists of the improvements for the 2021 LEAD SERVICE LINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT at various locations within the City. The scope of the work includes the replacement of existing lead, lead-lined and galvanized water services (between the water main and curb stop) with new polyethylene or copper water service lines, inclusive of the water main tap, service saddle (if required), service tubing, curb stop and box and connection to the customer's service line. A full service line flush from the water main to the meter isrequired following the service installation. The work includes surface restoration of disturbed areas. This Project includes a Base Bid and three Add Alternates. The Base Bid is for replacement of lead services on portions of Culver Road Master St. - Meredith St.), Weaver Street, South Avenue, JewelStreet, Beach Street, Cutler Street and East Avenue. Add Alternate 1 is for replacement of lead services on Wyand Crescent. Add Alternate 2 is for chip sealing Jewel, Beach and Cutler Streets after water service replacement work has been completed on these three streets. Add Alternate 3 is for replacement of lead services on Culver Road (Monroe Av. - Norris Dr.) Work on Weaver Street is to be completed within 45 working days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. All work on Beach, Jewel and Cutler Streets, including chip sealing, is to be completed by September 7, 2021.
