Hotel operations at what had been a staple of East Main Street lodging for six decades shuttered in 2020, and the 14-story property has been vacant ever since. Once downtown’s welcome mat to out-of-town visitors, the structure now sits in a fenced-off state of disrepair just steps from the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center. _______________________________ Reference Number 0000346903 PROJECT ESTIMATE: $8,000,000.00 The Contractor shall complete the work within four-hundred ten (410) calendar days inclusive of a winter shutdown period, from the date the Notice to Proceed was issued less the number of days by which one (1) or more of the following submittals are overdue his ROC the Riverway project includes upgrades and renovations to the Rochester Riverside Convention Center located along the Genesee River, including repair and rehabilitation of the existing river wall and expansion of the south terrace.The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Repairs to the existing river wall, between the East Main Street Bridge to the RG&E Building Retaining Wall at the southern property line, including a concrete facing to approximately 250 linear feet of lower river wall at the south end and structural repairs to the existing stone masonry and concrete faced walls for the remaining 200 linear feet of wall north to Main Street. 2. Alternates include expansion of the existing terrace cantilever over the river, including new steel framing, structural modifications and replacement of existing cladding and railing systems. Widening the terrace to create a continuous cantilevered edge over the river wall and extending the south end of the terrace with a new structural framing, spread footing and column support.
