Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ____________ The City of Bentonville, Arkansas is requesting Letters of Interest or Resumes and Statements of Qualifications from properly qualified, licensed and experienced professionals to provide construction management services to the City for the Quilt of Parks Project for the City of Bentonville Parks and Recreation Department. Services will include pre-construction services only initially and may include subsequent construction phase services, according to the City's best interest. In accordance with 14-58-1001, the City of Bentonville intends to receive written proposals from selected qualified and experienced entities whom submit a Letter of Interest or Resume and Statement of Qualification to this request. Submissions to this request should only consist of a Letter of Interest or Resume and Statement of Qualifications and shall not include any proposal/ cost information at this time. The awarded firm will be required to enter into a binding contract with the City and furnish a Performance and Payment Bonds for the full value of the contract. The intent of the City is to enter into a contract with a qualifying firm for pre-construction management services for the Quilt of Parks Project; services under this request are for pre-construction services only at this time, and may include subsequent construction phase services, according to the City's best interest. The awarded firm shall provide pre-construction services associated with the preparation of a facility master plan and subsequent site development and building design/construction plans and specifications for a park facility, including but not limited to: 1. Act as an advisor to the City in all phases of the project, through completion. 2. Participation in all design, coordination, and committee meetings. 3. Review of all designs for constructability. 4. Coordination and gathering of input from major subcontractors regarding constructability. 5. Input and solutions regarding schedule, phasing, and staging. 6. Review cost evaluations at each phase and step of design, taking into consideration schedule, phasing and local market conditions. 7. Consult with, advise, assist, and provide recommendations to the City or their designees, and project team on all aspects of the planning and design of the work. 8. Provide information, estimates, schemes, review project team submittals, and participate in decisions regarding construction materials, methods, systems, phasing, sustainability and costs to assist in determinations which are aimed at providing the highest quality energy efficient building, constructed using the most sustainable construction materials and practices, within the budget and schedule. 9. Actively participate in a formal value engineering study, anticipated to be held at the end of design development. 10. Review in-progress design and construction documents and provide input and advice on construction feasibility, alternative materials, costs and availability.
