Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Babcock, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
In general the work consists of: Replacing the existing metal siding on the 41' x 101' x 14' pre-engineered metal building structure. The project will also replace the existing insulation to improve the energy efficiency of the building. Windows and doors will be replaced, and a vinyl liner will be used in the shop above the existing plywood to the ceiling. This project will also replace the gutters and downspouts on the east side of the building to completely renovate the exterior. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements. No in-person pre-bid tour will be offered. Bidders are welcome to visit the site to walk the exterior to see conditions during the hours of 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday-Thursday. Project site is not staffed during all business hours; contact Meggin Weinandt (715-315-0056) to arrange a time to visit. Visitors to the project site shall wear face masks in interior spaces and keep appropriate social distance.
