Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Collingwood, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 1,050-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.

The scope of work includes the construction and development of an equipment storage building for the outdoor rink facility at the Town of Collingwood. The building is to accommodate one ice resurfacer and one tractor with two separate automatic overhead insulated doors. Additionally, there is a requirement for an office space, accommodating two personnel, located on the west wall with a large tempered glass window overlooking the outdoor rink. The building will also consist of a man-door for access and will be heated using natural gas heating. The Work will include, at a minimum, but not limited to, the following tasks: Development and submission of Site Specific Health and Safety Plan, Project Schedule (Appendix C) and Erosion and Sediment Control Plan. Administration and submittals as required by the Contract Documents. Mobilization to site. Installation and maintenance of construction fencing. Subsurface utility locates and clearances. Installation and maintenance of silt fencing and erosion control measures. Saw-cut, strip, stockpile and remove existing asphalt pavement. Strip, stockpile and remove existing vegetation and topsoil. Excavation, stockpiling and removal of on-site generated excess fill/soil. Preparation of building foundation and utility tie-ins as per the specifications and drawings. Supply and erection of the building and all supporting infrastructure, as per the specifications and drawings Removal of all equipment and wastage, clean-up of all work areas, and de-mobilization from site. Bid Security required in the amount of 10% of the bid price excluding HST. Performance Bond: 50% of the total Tender amount, and Labour and Material Bond: 50% of the total Tender amount It is the intention of the Town for the work to be Substantially Completed by November 1, 2022. The Contract shall be Completed by December 1, 2022. The Respondents are expected to demonstrate the capability of performing this work in the timeframe provided. *Tender has been cancelled.
