INDOT - Call 261 Interchange Modification on I-65 The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) proposes the construction of 2 two-lane roundabouts and roadway widening to a four-lane cross section at the interchange of I-65 and 109th avenue in Lake County, Indiana. Due to roadway widening, the culvert located on the eastside of the eastern interchange will be extended. Details of the existing structure are outlined in the following sections. The project also includes the construction of an 8-foot-wide walking path. The existing reinforced concrete box structure (CV I65-045-249.37) measures approximately 91 feet long by 10 feet wide by 4 feet tall. The existing structure will be extended by 34 feet at the upstream end (Str. No. 100A) and 17 feet at the downstream end (Str. No. 100B). Following construction, the structure will measure approximately 138 feet long by 10 feet wide by 4 feet tall. The project area islocated within the city limits of Crown Point, Indiana. A full detour of 109 th avenue is anticipated during construction. The maintenance of traffic (MOT) will be implemented per the Indiana Design Manual guidelines.
