Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in San Diego, California. Completed plans call civil work for a fire / police facility, road / highway, sidewalk / parking lot and water / sewer project.
The City is seeking to acquire Design-Build services for the design and construction of a new, permanent, 11,500 square feet, 3-bay fire station. The facility will accommodate: three (3) fire apparatus and a crew of nine (9) to eleven (11) fire personnel; onsite surface parking; dorm rooms; kitchen; watch room; training room; ready room; station alerting system; IT data network; wet and dry utilities; electrical; mechanical; and all other necessary infrastructure associated with this project. In addition, the offsite improvements include, but are not limited to site grading; utility relocation; street/traffic improvements within the public right-of-way along Carmel Valley Road and Winecreek Road to allow for emergency response apparatus' egress & ingress. Due to the project site located near Multi-Habitat Planning Areas (MHPA), the project will require discretionary permits, surveys, studies, and monitoring, to meet all land use and environmental regulations. A long-term maintenance & monitoring agreement will be required for post-construction up to 60 months. The project site is located on the westerly corner lot of Carmel Valley Road and Winecreek Road intersection in the Black Mountain Ranch community.
