Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Ashland, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Each bidder is required to furnish with the proposal, a Bid Guarantee and a Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety and shall be to the credit of the Ashland County Commissioners and the Ohio Department of Transportation. The "Instruction to Bidder Form" found in the bid documents provides specific instructions with regard to Bid Guarantees and Contract Bonds. Each bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the bid and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity, and a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than July 30, 2021. The Encouraging Diversity, Growth and Equity (EDGE) Goal is 5%. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of this project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Ashland County, Ohio, as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations. Ashland County may reject any or all of the bids on any basis and without disclosure of a reason. The failure to make such a disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right, claim, or cause of action by any unsuccessful bidder against Ashland County.
