Site work for a water / sewer project in Bremerton, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

**As of May 06, 2020, project has been awarded with the amount of $337,881.47. The Work includes all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to recoat the entire exterior of a 2.0 million gallon steel welded, above ground potable water reservoir. Reservoir dimensions are 97-feet diameter and 36.2-feet height. Reservoir 19 is located at 2628 Ash St. in Bremerton next to Harrison Medical Center and resides in the East park Nature Area. Access to the reservoir is from Ash St. via an access road to a locked gate where the fenced reservoir area can be entered. The Work includes setting up and maintaining scaffolding and a containment system, abrasive blasting to near white metal (SSPC-SP 10), recoating all exterior surfaces, site cleanup, and proper disposal of all spent materials and coatings all in accordance with the Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The Substantial Completion date for the Work is 100 calendar days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. The Notice to Proceed will be issued no later than beginning of June 2021. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond, payable to the City of Bremerton, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the Total Bid, including Washington State sales tax, identified at the time of submittal of the bid as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Contract. A bid shall not be considered unless one of the forms of Bidder's security is enclosed with it. The failure to furnish a bid deposit of a minimum of five percent (5%) shall make the bid nonresponsive and shall cause the bid to be rejected by the Contracting Agency. For the electronic bid submission, an electronic or scanned copy of the bond may be included. The selected bidder will be required to mail a hard copy of the bond. The successful bidder will also be required to provide a Performance Bond for 100 percent of the Contract Price. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Bremerton. The Bidder shall guarantee the Total Bid Price for a period of 60 calendar days from the date of bid opening. In the hiring of employees for the performance of work under this Contract, the Contractor, its subcontractors, or any person acting on behalf of the Contractor shall not discriminate in any employment practice on the basis of age (40+), sex, race, creed, color, national origin, sexual orientation/gender identity, marital status, military status, or the presence of any physical, mental, or sensory disability. The City of Bremerton in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. The City of Bremerton reserves the right to reject any and all bids on any or all schedules or alternates or to waive any informalities in the bidding and shall determine which bid or bidders is the most satisfactory and responsible bidder and shall be the sole judge thereof.
