Work: Construction of an American Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant restroom facility and associated concrete walkway, slab and utility connections at Tavares Cemetery Tavares, Florida. Bidders are required to submit proposals for the above on the Bid Forms provided. No proposals may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of thirty (30) days. A Performance and Payment Bond in a sum equal to 110% of the amount of the Contract awarded will be required at the time of execution of the construction contract The City of Tavares reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid, to reject any or all bids with or without cause, and/or to accept the bid that in its best judgment will be for the best interest of the City. If a bid is found to be acceptable by the City of Tavares, written notice will be given to the bidder of the acceptance of his bid and of the award of the Contract to him. A certified or cashiers check on a national or state bank, or a bid bond executed by a surety acceptable to the Owner for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City of Tavares, shall accompany each proposal as guarantee that the bidder will, if awarded the contract, promptly enter into agreement to do the work and furnish the required Performance and Payment Bond.
