**As of April 13, 2021, project has been postponed due to timing of when will the project be done and the cost. Water and sewer main replacement project serving Main Street Mt. Sterling, Kentucky from , Kentucky from Samuels Avenue to Queen Street.. This project consists of an estimated 2800 ft of 12, 300 ft of 8, and 270 ft of 6 water main along with 2300 ft of 8, 200 ft of 4, 56 ft of 10, 42 ft of 12, and 28 ft of 6 SDR35 sewer line and related accessories. Each bid, in order to be considered valid, must be accompanied by a bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of 5 percent of the base bid. The bidder awarded the contract shall supply a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond at the time contract documents are signed, both no less than the total value of the bid submitted. In addition, the successful bidder will be required to provide proof of both liability and worker's compensation insurance, as well as name the City of Mt. Sterling and Mt. Sterling Water and Sewer as an additional insured. This contract shall be completed within 240 days of a Notice to Proceed being issued. Liquidated damages in the amount of $300.00/day will be assessed should this project extend beyond the contract timeframe. Mt. Sterling reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted.
