Contractor Category: Electrical. HVAC; Fire Protection Sprinkler System Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate A. The Work includes replacement of the Authority’s existing SCADA system at the John J. Carroll Water Treatment Plant located at 84 D’Angelo Drive, Marlborough. 1. The Authority has received approval of a waiver from DCAMM to conduct a twostep process that includes the prequalification of Electrical General Contractors due to the fact that the Contract Documents for the work contain Security Sensitive Information (SSI). The Electrical General Contractor will be required to have SSI protocols in place to protect all SSI in accordance with Section 01550 - SSI Document Control and will be required to execute a Confidentiality Agreement and External Nondisclosure Agreement. Filed Subbids are not considered security sensitive. 2. The Contractor, Subcontractors, manufacturer’s representatives, and any other personnel at the Site shall comply with all Federal, State or local requirements, laws, rules, regulations, procedures, orders or guidance related to COVID-19 and in accordance with Section 01390 - Health and Safety Plan. B. The scope of this project is to upgrade legacy instrumentation and control system components at the JJCWTP. The plant is in operation 24/7/365 and it is not possible to take control equipment offline without disruption to plant operations. The scope of the project is to build-out a new control system in parallel to existing equipment and facilitate a staged cutover while maintaining the plant operations throughout. C. The Work includes furnishing materials, equipment, tools and labor necessary to provide architectural, structural, HVAC, Fire Protection, electrical, and instrumentation upgrades as indicated on the Contract Drawings and specified herein. D. If equipment or system fail to meet contract requirements and additional Work is required, the Work shall be completed at no additional cost to the Authority and the Contractor shall inform the Authority in writing that the system is again ready for Checkout/Testing. Should any of the equipment/systems fail any of the tests, the test shall be repeated at no additional cost to the Authority until the equipment/systems pass.
