All questions during the bid are to be directed to Mary Beth Elfers, in the form of an RFI, via email to melfers@ljbinc.com by April 12, 2021 by 3:00 PM The successful bidder will be responsible for construction of the Monroe Brine Pump Shed and Utilities. The shed is an 8x10 frame structure on a concrete pad. The utilities include a 4 inch waterline extension via open cut across Cyrus Edwards Road, a 3 inch waterline service and a 4 inch sanitary sewer service. The shed is an 8x10 frame structure on a concrete pad. All proposals shall be lump sum with the shed and concrete pad being Alternate No. 1. All documentation during the bid period will be sent via email to the address provided during the pre-bid meeting. However, it is the responsibility of all participating in the bid to check before the bid to verify they have all RFls and Addenda that may have been issued. The list of general contractors attending the pre-bid will be available after the pre-bid meeting. Contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the State laws governing their respective trades and that North Carolina General Statute 87 will be observed in receiving and awarding contracts. General Contractors must have general license classification, at minimum, for Building-Intermediate. A bid bond is not required. Performance bond, payment bond, and insurance must be provided by the contractor. No bid may be withdrawn after the opening of bids for a period of 30 days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities.
