The general work includes installing approximately 360 tons of AC pavement, 835 tons of aggregate base, 492 feet of concrete curb and gutter, 1150 sf of concrete walks, concrete and AC pavement driveway approaches, 600 feet of pavement markings, furnishing and installing 332 feet of 6 to 10" ductile iron pipe storm line, 195 feet of 8" ductile iron water line, associated fittings, valves, fire hydrants, water meters, water service, sleeves, inlets, manholes, tie-ins to existing lines, thrust restraints, testing and disinfection, temporary surface restoration and maintenance, permanent surface restoration, traffic control, erosion control, and other work as shown on the contract drawings. The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment and subcontractors to complete the project as required in the contract documents. The Bidder is required to submit a First Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Form, as described by ORS 279C.370, either with the bid or in a separate envelope within two (2) hours of said bid closing time. The City must reject a bid if the bidder fails to submit the disclosure form by the 4:00 PM deadline. City is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the Yamhill W First Street Project. Construction is to be substantially completed within 90 Calendar Days from commencement of work and not later than October 29, 2021. Punch list and final completion is to be completed by November 30, 2021. Substantial completion will be achieved once the utility construction is complete and placed into service, and the road and sidewalks are open for traffic. Final completion will be achieved once all improvements are in place, surface restoration is complete, and the City has approved the Work. Bidders must be qualified in accordance with the applicable parts of ORS 279C to enter into a contract with the City. No bid shall be considered unless the bidder is registered with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board. No bid will be received or considered by the Owner unless the bid form contains, or is accompanied by, a statement by the bidder, as a part of the bid that the provisions required by ORS 279C.800 through 279C.870 pertaining to prevailing wages shall be included in this contract. Contractor licensing under ORS 468A.720 for asbestos abatement is not a requirement of this project. Each bid must contain a statement as to whether the bidder is a resident bidder as defined in ORS 279A.120. Each bid must contain a statement as to whether the bidder is registered with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board in accordance with the provisions of ORS 279C.365 Bids must be submitted on the prescribed forms and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed in favor of the City of Yamhill in an amount not less than ten (10) percent of the amount bid (Bid Schedules). The successful bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for the faithful performance of the contract as prescribed in the Contract Documents. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities, and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the city. The City may reject any bid not in compliance with the public bidding procedures and requirements and may reject for good cause any or all bids upon a finding of the agency that it is in the public interest to do so.
