The window frames are finished with lead containing paint, asbestos containing (ACM) window putty and caulking and are to be removed and disposed as Hazardous Material. .2 If it is deemed necessary for removal and installation of window systems, label, remove and store existing interior wood shutters. Replace after new window is installed. .3 Install new aluminum clad window systems complete with new interior wood trims and wood components to integrate with existing wood window surrounds. New windows are to replicate as close as possible interior and exterior aesthetic and detailing of existing windows, including but not limited to mullion size, profile, geometry and finish colour. .4 Remove and salvage for reuse existing window hardware, where indicated. .5 Allow for Owners forces to use scaffolding in the interior of the building in order to access items that require removal and reinstallation. This includes but not limited to draperies, valiances, wall mounted communication and security equipment. Contractors are reminded that they must receive tender documents for bidding purposes from the office of Construction Tendering - Buildings (Division), Department of Transportation and Infrastructure, Fredericton NB, 506-453-2706. Only those tenders submitted by bidders listed as having received tender documents from the Central Tendering - Buildings Division office shall be considered.
