Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Estimated cost : $1,200,000-$1,500,000 The Project primarily consists of superstructure replacements at three bridges and associated Work. Clarification Deadline 4/15/2021 4:00 PM There will be no pre-Bid conference for this Project. After Substantial Completion, if Contractor shall neglect, refuse, or fail to complete the remaining Work within the Contract Times (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) for completion and readiness for final payment, Contractor shall pay Owner $100 for each day that expires after such time until the Work is completed and ready for final payment. Contractors bidding on this Project must be prequalified by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as prime contractors in the S1 work category. Bid security in the form a Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10% of the bid amount and made payable to or naming as obligee Dauphin County Board of Commissioners. Dauphin County reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, informalities, to accept any bid or combination of bids that are deemed to be in the best interest of Dauphin County, and to reject any or all proposals.
