As of June 11, 2021. the project has been awarded with the amount of $1,608,996.56 The project will consist of: Construction of approximately 18,500 linear feet of 8-inch to 18-inch sanitary and force main, manholes, encased bores, vents, sewer services, road repairs, aerial creek crossings, trench safety and all othern appurtenances in Sherman, Texas. The Owner reserves the right to determine the best interests of the Project based upon the Owner's firsthand experience with or knowledge about Bidders, including information regarding safety records of Bidders provided in the GTUA Contractor's Qualification Statement to be submitted by Bidders. In determining to whom to award a contract, the owner may consider, among other things: 1. The purchase price; 2. The reputation of the vendor and the quality of the vendor's goods or services; 3. The extent to which the goods or services meet the owner's needs; 4. The vendor's past relationship with the owner; 5. The total long-term cost to the city to acquire the vendor's goods or services; 6. Any other relevant factor specifically listed in the request for bids or proposals; 7. The impact on the ability of GTUA to comply with rules relating to historically underutilized businesses; 8. Any other relevant factor specifically listed in the request for bids or proposals; and 9. The safety record of the bidder, of the firm, corporation, partnership, or institution represented by the bidder, or of anyone acting for such a firm, corporation, partnership, or institution. Bidders must submit with their bids a Cashier's Check or a Certified Check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the maximum amount of bid payable without recourse to the Owner or a proposal bond in the same amount.
