The Board of Education of St. Mary's County on behalf of St. Mary's County Public Schools (SMCPS) is requesting sealed bids from experienced and qualified Contractors to perform fire protection inspections and other related services at public schools, centers and office buildings. Contractors responding to this Invitation to Bid (ITB) must be available by telephone twenty-four (24) hours a day, three hundred and sixty-five (365) days a year, and be able to arrive at a worksite within three (3) hours of receiving an emergency call from SMCPS. The resulting contract shall be awarded for a period of one (1) year with SMCPS having the option to extend the contract for four (4) additional one-year periods. SMCPS reserves the right to award the requirements of this bid in total or in part as it determines to be in the best interest of SMCPS. SMCPS reserves the right to make multiple awards. Contract awards are subject to the availability of funding. Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation notice. St. Mary's County Public Schools reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any informality in bidding.
