The Board of Education of St. Mary's County on behalf of St. Mary's County Public Schools (SMCPS) is requesting sealed bids from experienced and qualified Contractors to perform Snow Removal Services, specifically to plow and salt entry roads and parking lots and to clear sidewalks at public schools and office buildings as needed. All Contractors responding to this invitation to bid (ITB) must have business operations within a 25-mile radius of 23160 Moakley Street, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Contractors responding to this Invitation to Bid (ITB) must be available by telephone twenty-four (24) hours a day, from November 15th through April 30th each year, and be able to arrive at a worksite within two (2) hours of receiving an emergency call from SMCPS. Contract Period: One (1) Year With the Options for Four (4), One (1) Year Options to Renew Prospective bidders may request that SMCPS clarify information contained in this bid. All such requests must be made in writing to Brynn Cosner, Procurement Coordinator. SMCPS will not respond to any requests for clarification received after October 14, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Questions may be sent via email to btcosner@smcps.org. SMCPS reserves the right to award the requirements of this bid in total or in part as it determines to be in the best interest of SMCPS. SMCPS reserves the right to make multiple awards. Contract awards are subject to the availability of funding. Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation notice.
