The proposed project at the existing Jackie Robinson Stadium shall provide improvements for player development for the UCLA Department of Intercollegiate Athletics baseball program and support for the various activities and groups using the field inclusive of the West Los Angeles Campus. The Stadium is located off-campus at 100 Constitution Avenue just west of Interstate 405, on the grounds of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. The scope of work includes a new synthetic turf practice infield, a new synthetic turf replacement bullpen; two (2) +/- 70'-foot sports light poles near the edges of the new practice infield; one (1) +/- 40'-foot sports light pole at the replacement bullpen; tying into an existing electrical substation for electrical service for the sport lighting; construction of a new electrical rated enclosure; trenching for the installation and relocation of underground power; and providing power infrastructure (distribution board, transformer, and panel boards); hazardous material abatement; and relocation of gas and domestic water site utilities and perimeter fencing to support the proposed use.
