The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is requesting bids from qualified contractors to repair the water storage tank at the Sutton Public Safety Building. The facility is located at 15625 N. Glenn Highway Sutton, AK 99674. This project is partially funded by a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Disaster Recovery Grant DR-4413 Project Worksheet (PW) 227. Questions Due Date: Aug 24th 2021, 5:00 PM AKDT The Contractor shall furnish a performance bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price as security for the faithful performance of this Contract and also a payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price on the forms provided in the Project Manual, with sureties in compliance with applicable law and qualified by law to act as surety in furnishing such bonds, and as may be acceptable to the Borough. The premium shall be paid by the Contractor. The Contractor shall deliver the required bonds to the Borough not later than ten days after notice of award Any bid exceeding $50,000 for total of all base items and alternates shall be accompanied by a certified check, money order, cashier's check, or Bid Bond in the amount of at least 5% of the total Base Bid amount, made payable to the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Palmer, Alaska, with good and sufficient surety or sureties acceptable to the Borough.
