Prequalified General Contractor ONLY. New Community Health Centre to be located at the brownfield site of 430 Cannon Street East within the downtown core of Hamilton, Ontario. The new centre is planned to be a two-storey approximately 16,000 sq ft building that will provide a welcoming, inclusive health centre and gathering space for the community. The building will be located on the northwest corner of the property with parking on the east and at the rear of the building. The site will also some outdoor seating, a waste removal area for garbage pickup and bicycle parking. The building is designed with a transparent façade on Cannon Street and an open entrance which wraps the north east corner, connecting Cannon Street to the parking and drop-off area on the east side of the building. The second floor is wrapped in a wood-like metal siding and has a gentle curve at the north east corner. The curving wood-like metal siding overhangs the entrance to create a sheltered and welcoming facility that is essential to creating an environment that is equally inviting and accessible to people of all backgrounds. *Project has been estimated at approx. 9 million.
