Site work and paving for a road / highway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Construction of a new 4-lane phase of Constantin from Midway to Bluebonnet through the health district and along I-10. Alternative alignment is being pursued to avoid the create a better intersection with Bluebonnet. The DOTD will administer the construction phase. As of March 2023, construction documents are being revised. The project is in the right-of-way acquisition. Contractor bidding is expected to commence in the spring of 2023. The MOVEBR Transportation and Infrastructure Improvements Program is the most significant transportation infrastructure investment in East Baton Rouge Parish history. The 1/2 cent sales tax proposition was approved by the voters of East Baton Rouge Parish on December 8, 2018. The tax became effective on April 1, 2019 and will continue for 30 years until March 31, 2049.
