Renovation of an educational facility in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) seeks bids from qualified contractors to construct the above named project. Harrisburg Area Community College is committed to providing opportunities for Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), and Women Business Enterprises (WBE). HACC encourages MBE and WBE firms to submit a Proposal for the Work and all bidders to proactively solicit MBE and WBE firms in the bidding and subcontracting process. The work will be performed under a Single Prime Contract and consists of interior renovations of certain discreet areas of Whitaker Hall, One HACC Drive, on the Harrisburg Campus and the Midtown 1 Building, 1523 N. 4th Street, on the Midtown Campus. Work will include selective demolition of finishes as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems. It will also entail reconfiguring instructional areas with new gypsum board, metal stud partitions and new finishes including wall covering, flooring and acoustic ceiling tiles. New and existing MEP systems will be installed and modified to support new floor plans including new data cabling. Selective demolition of certain spaces at the Midtown 2 Building, 1500 N. 3rd Street, Harrisburg, will also be performed. Specified equipment will be disconnected, transported and installed in the renovated spaces. A Performance and Payment Bond for 100% of the contract amount will be required in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The referenced project is subject to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry Prevailing Wage Rates. It is the intent of the Owner (HACC) to award a Contract to the lower qualified Bidder provided the Bid has been submitted in accordance with the requirements of the Bidding Documents and does not exceed the funds available. The Owner shall have the right to waive informalities and irregularities in a Bid received and to accept the Bid which, in the Owner's judgement, is in the Owner's own best interests. Expected Contract Value: $1,000,000 - $1,500,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
