The scope of work for this project includes the demolition and removal of all existing roof material, gutters and downspouts and installation of new roof material, gutters and downspouts in accordance with project specifications. Questions regarding the specifications shall be directed to James C. Sullivan, PE, the Townships Director of Engineering Services by email at jsullivan@eastnorritontwp.org. The bids must be made on the forms furnished by the Owner and the bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to East Norriton Township. All bids must be accompanied by a Surety Consent. Said surety is to be licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor (Public Works Contractor Bond Law of 1967, P.L. 869, 8 P.S. Â 191 et seq) & Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a Maintenance Bond in an amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the contract price, on bond forms acceptable to the Owner. Bids may be held for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date of Bid Opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigation of the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. The successful bidder will be required to submit a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the bid proposal. Prevailing wages will apply to all bids in excess of $25,000 East Norriton Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities, or to take other such action that it may deem to be in the best interest of the Township and as may be permitted by law.
