Reading Area Community College ("College") extends an invitation to interested and qualified firms (each, a "Bidder") to submit formal sealed bids (each, a "Bid") online to provide services for the Student Union Pantry Renovations. The selected Contractor shall provide all the necessary Labor, Materials, Equipment, Temporary Protection, and Supervision for the reconfiguration of an existing storage room into three distinct and separate storage rooms. Work shall include but is not be limited to; removal of walls, ceilings and floor finishes; realignment of new wall, installation of new doors, frames and hardware, re-installation of ceiling with new lighting, reconfiguration of electrical devices, new floor finish and painting. Demolition materials not requested to be returned to the Collage shall be disposed of properly and legally. Care shall be taken with some items to remain and some to be saved and re-installed. The building will be occupied by the RACC staff and the public during the entirety of the project. The Contractor will provide all necessary warning and protection services necessary to keep everyone and the building safe and secure. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 4/21/2021 12:00 PM Bid Bond. Bidders will provide a bid bond equivalent to 5% of the bid price. The ``bid guarantee'' shall consist of a firm commitment such as a bid bond, certified check, or other negotiable instrument accompanying a bid as assurance that the bidder will, upon acceptance of his bid, execute such contractual documents as may be required within the time specified. Performance Bond. The selected bidder will provide a performance bond on the part of the contractor for 100% of the contract price. A "performance bond'' is one executed in connection with a contract to secure fulfillment of all the contractor's obligations under such contract. Payment Bond. The selected bidder will provide a payment bond on the part of the contractor for 100% of the contract price. A "payment bond'' is one executed in connection with a contract to assure payment as required by law of all persons supplying labor and material in the execution of the work provided for in the contract.
