Proper removal and disposal of approximately 1,800 square feet of asbestos- containing material, specifically vermiculite and other insulation that is approximately 6 inches thick, associated metal ceiling deck, and related abandoned conduit from the Root Cellar. Decontaminate the concrete floor and fieldstone/concrete foundation. The abate procedures shall be performed within a negative air pressure enclosure and in accordance with all applicable regulations. Upon completion, pertinent information shall be submitted to the County including, but not limited to disposal manifest sheets and asbestos abatement notification Owner will supply access to electricity and water, isolate all utilities associated with work to be abated, and engage an independent industrial hygienist to perform clearance air monitoring. Sullivan County reserves the right to accept or reject any bids and to waive any minor bid defects bid as may be in the County's best interest, and to request additional information from any bidder prior to issuing a notice of award or soliciting new bids. The County reserves the right to award the project as one or more contracts, to reject any and all bids in whole or in part, and to waive any informality or technical defects if, in Sullivan County's sole judgment, the best interest of Sullivan County will be served.
