For Waste Water Treatment Plant Rehabilitation It is the intent and purpose of these contract documents to provide for improvements to the existing wastewater treatment plant. CONTRACTOR TO PERFORM ALL WORK AS INDICATED. This project will be funded by CDBG. This contract shall provide for the necessary labor, equipment, tools, materials, and all other related construction for the proposed project. SUMMARY OF WORK Base Bid 1. The contractor shall remove and replace existing clarifier mechanism including basin modifications, and electrical components. 2. The contractor shall provide surface preparation and coating of the clarifier steel tank basin, including all labor and equipment. 3. The contractor shall remove and replace existing clarifier inlet valves including and piping modifications. 4. The contractor shall remove and replace existing clarifier RAS Airlift Pump #1 including all labor and equipment and piping modifications. Additive Bids 1. The contractor shall furnish and install Chlorination room improvements including new chlorine equipment. 2. The contractor shall remove and replace existing digester RAS Airlift Pump #2 including all labor and equipment and piping modifications. Special Considerations 1. The contractor shall be fully responsible for maintaining sanitary sewer flows and treatment ability of the plant at all times. Contractor to sequence all work to ensure that all portions of the sanitary sewer treatment process are maintained to provide necessary treatment of all flows during construction. Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing and maintaining all necessary pipe, fittings, pumps, fuel, and personnel for flow bypass and diversion. 2. Contractor shall coordinate all shutdowns, bypass, flow diversion, and valve operations with City Staff 1 week prior to units being taken off-line or bypassed. A pre-bid conference will not be held on this project.
