Remodeling and renovation of an educational facility in Winter Park, Florida. Working plans call for the remodel of a educational facility; and for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of March 2, 2022. The owner has selected a Construction Manager. A timeline for construction has not yet been established. The School Board of Seminole County is seeking an Architectural firm to provide architectural and engineering master planning, design, and construction administration services to appropriately remodel and renovate existing buildings at Lake Howell High School as listed below. Included with these services will be the Architect/Engineer (A/E) construction prioritization based on cost and phasing strategy. In addition, the District may consider the replacement/re-arrangement of these buildings to provide functional improvements to the campus layout. Currently the established remodeling/renovation construction budget is $10,000,000. This project consists of the remodeling and renovation (and potential replacement) of Lake Howells campus Building 5 - Auditorium (1974)/Music-Multipurpose (1997), Building 7 - Gym (1974), and Classroom Buildings 8, 9, and 10 (1988). The Architects scope shall include the programming, design, cost estimates, bidding support, construction administration, and closeout services. These services shall be provided pursuant to Chapter 471, Florida Statutes. The programming phase will identify the phasing and extent of remodeling and renovation that can be achieved within a construction budget of $10,000,000. The programming phase must also include programming, schematic design, cost estimate, and master planning for replacement buildings. Included with this solicitation is the Castaldi Analysis which gives a general overview of the campus deficiencies and deficiencies associated with each building, the draft Owner/Architect contract the School Board of Seminole County (SBSC) Design Standards. QUESTIONS CONCERNING RFQ Cheryl Olson, Director of Purchasing and Distribution Services is the designated Purchasing Representative and will be responsible for facilitating the entire evaluation process. Mrs. Olson shall be the sole point of contact for all Respondents.
