The City of San Bruno (City) is requesting proposals from qualified individuals and/or consultant firms that can assist the City with reviewing entitlement applications and construction permit submittal, for public and private development projects on as-needed basis. The City is also interested in if the qualified individual and/or consultant firms can provide expedited review services. At its discretion, the City intends to select one or more firms with whom the City will contract for services on an as-needed basis. The successful Consultant(s) will be responsible to review entitlement applications and to conduct plan review and supplemental services related to the development review process in compliance with the California Building Standards Codes, the City's Municipal Code and all other Federal, State, local and applicable laws. The successful consultant(s) will be dependable, cost-effective, and provide high quality entitlement support and plan review services with the ability to meet expected turnaround times. The consultants must be able to provide a broad range of specialized planning, engineering and construction services and staff to complete project orders including, but not limited to, consultation, planning, administration, specialized analytical studies, construction support, and other miscellaneous municipal report writing. The City of San Bruno, an ethnically and culturally diverse city, maintains a small-town atmosphere within a large metropolitan area. It is uniquely located on the San Francisco Peninsula in San Mateo County, about twelve miles south of San Francisco. Located along Highway 101 and Interstate 280, accessible by Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), Caltrain and the San Mateo Transit (SamTrans) bus system, San Bruno is a transit hub for the bay area. Adjacent to the San Francisco International Airport, the City has easy accessibility to the vast cultural, educational, and recreational opportunities within the San Francisco Bay Area. A single firm is not expected to be able to provide all services for the disciplines listed below. Consultants should select the discipline or disciplines that best describe their area of expertise and the professional services proposed to be provided.
