He stated that the city hoped to avoid prevailing wage and other costs that could impact the expense of the new police station and there were indications the city would not have to borrow $18.9 million. In the fall, the city was given a range of between $13 and $16 million for the new police station, but it is not possible to confirm as the building is not even in the planning stages at this time. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ City of Milford, Delaware, Department of Public Works, seeks to engage the services of a Construction Management (CM) firm for the Design Assistance and Construction Management of a New Milford Police Station. The selected CM will provide pre-construction services as required, cost estimating, bid package development, and bid solicitations/award assistance, as well as full construction management throughout the construction process. The overall work consists of Construction Management and Design Assistance for a new 20,000 +/- square-foot Police Headquarters Building in Milford, Delaware, located on land currently owned by the City of Milford, Delaware. Becker Morgan Group Inc. has been selected as the Architectural/Engineering Consultant and is currently under contract to design this project. The initial space study has concluded, and the space layout finalized. Questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing to Public Works Director (PWD) Mike Svaby at msvaby@milford-de.gov by 12:00 PM EST on April 9, 2021. Responses will be distributed to all submitters in a joint email no later than 4:30 PM on April 12, 2021. Selection Process Interested parties must email PWD Svaby to ascertain the required information and the selection procedure to be utilized. The City of Milford reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and waive any requirements, including, but not limited to, the decision not to award this RFP.
